  1.     positions.
  2. turbofan engine    A gas turbine that uses a fan of greater
  3.     diameter than the engine attached to the forward end of
  4.     the compressor.  The fan accelerates a large quantity of
  5.     air rearward, bypassing the entire basic engine and
  6.     providing a large increase in thrust.
  7. turn and bank   A gyroscopic flight instrument which
  8.     indicates rate of change of heading, calibrated in "needle
  9.     widths."
